The Daily Memo | January 10, 2022 | What’s Your Vision for 2022?

We’re now 10 days into 2022. Do you have a clear vision for what God has in store for this year? If you’re like me and most of us the answer would be of course not. Just look at the last couple of years and you’ll understand how uncertain the next minute is. I’m not so sure there are any 100% certainties in this life. The only certainty I can point to is an eternal one with Jesus.

But……. as I wrote in a recent blog, we still have the ability to invite God into our future and one thing is certain, he’ll answer that prayer.

Why not sit down with a blank piece of paper and place the number 2022 on the top of the page and start writing? I’ve done it before, and you’ll be shocked at what the Holy Spirit will place on a piece of paper if you’ve prepared your heart in advance to accept whatever may come. Try it. Nothing to lose and so much to look forward to.

God wants to vision with you around purpose and calling. As Christians, we all were born with purpose. The Bible tells us that God knew us before the foundation of the world. He knitted together every piece of our being. In Jeremiah God said this, “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” (1:5) That applies to us today. He commissioned Jeremiah as a prophet and He’s commissioning you for an equally important reason.

Go for it. Don’t make an insurmountable task out of it. Just sit quietly and ask God to speak to your heart as the pen hit’s the page and see what surprises await. It may very well change your entire life trajectory for the good.

And that’s the memo.

Steve
