Our Story

Founders, Steve & Colleen Adams

It’s been an amazing journey. And now God has another trail for us to blaze. Together. The privilege of seeing God change lives right here in our own hometown and around the world.

Our desire is to walk alongside each person in our sphere of influence enabling them to go deeper into their journey toward wholeness in Christ.

A great deal of emphasis and resources are directed to teaching and encouraging anyone with a desire to find a new path – a new way of connecting with the heart of God to find healing in their brokenness.

We help others explore areas of life where brokenness leads to false beliefs about God – which often leads to false views of self and others – and hinder spiritual formation. In addressing personal brokenness we can fulfill the greatest commandments: to love God with all of our heart, soul, and mind and to love others as ourselves. That is accomplished through helping position others to receive true healing, which can only come through Jesus.

What might that look like for you? We’re here to help. Engage in our message, contact us, or start by signing up for our Daily Memo, blog and regular updates.

We met briefly in 1995, introduced by a mutual friend. That mutual friend was my (Steve) best friend in my late teens and early ’20s and Colleen’s soon-to-be fiancé. Little did we know that 20 years later we would meet for only the second time – at a Memorial Service grieving the loss of that dear friend and Colleens then-husband. But God intersected the lives of two people for one purpose – to bring the message of healing to anyone willing to hear. Two people, traveling parallel paths of restoration through difficult individual circumstances while independently saying, “I want to be well”. But God….. had even greater plans for these changed lives.

As co-founders of EBM, we teach, guest lecture, and organize conferences and seminars around the message and mission of Embracing Brokenness Ministries. We author, blog, vlog, podcast, and lead the work of the ministry as God directs.
