The Daily Memo | March 7, 2023 | The Power of Desire

Listen

The all-you-can-eat buffets usually get the best of me. I just don’t eat that much. But… I want to go back for seconds and thirds just because the options seem endless and the gluttony is kinda fun. Besides, there’s always room for dessert.

My desire outweighs my stomach, which is hard to believe since I just packed it with five pounds of delicacies. I can always eat ice cream. Morning, noon, or night, but I should have been done an hour ago.

It’s the same with sex, it’s the same with money, it’s the same with anything our flesh desires because it can’t fulfill us. You can’t negotiate with the heart. It’s a terrorist, you can’t negotiate with the fallen nature. It’s never satisfied.

The enemy wants to take the heart.

We need to love the Lord with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength.

And that’s the Memo.

Steve
