Confidence | The Mid-Week Memo | August 28, 2024

Confidence is a term widely used, personally and professionally. We talk about confidence in ourselves. Confidence in others.

What is confidence? It represents that feeling of certainty or trust. One of those classic examples is the Trust Fall. A person falls backward into the waiting arms of another, i.e. a fellow colleague. You are supposed to demonstrate your confidence in your work partner that they will catch you.

A greater example was written by John in the New Testament. John stated “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4 NIV). With God in us, we live with the confidence that He, our Father in Heaven, carries us through. No matter the trials or storms we may face, our full trust is in Him.

Focus on Jesus. Stand in your faith. Walk in your confidence. You belong to The Most High!

And that’s the Mid-Week Memo.
