When God Whispers, Are You Listening? | The Mid-Week Memo | November 5, 2025

“For God does speak—now one way, now another—though no one perceives it.” — Job 33:14

God is not silent. He never has been. The Creator who spoke galaxies into being still speaks into the chaos of our hearts today. His voice hasn’t grown faint—our ears have.

Job reminds us that God’s communication is ongoing, though often unrecognized. Sometimes it’s a whisper through Scripture, sometimes a stirring in our spirit, sometimes the timely word of a friend, a sunrise that quiets our fears, or even the disruption of a plan we thought was best. The question isn’t if God is speaking—it’s are we listening?

The Bible was never meant to be a record of exceptions—it’s a revelation of examples. It shows us what a living relationship with God looks like when people actually walk with Him, listen to Him, and respond. The same God who spoke to Abraham, Moses, Mary, and Paul still speaks to His sons and daughters today.

If His voice feels distant, it may be because we’ve filled our lives with too much noise. Slow down. Quiet the distractions. Ask Him to speak—and then expect Him to. Because He is.

And that’s the mid-week memo.
