Steve has spent a lifetime following Christ, but it was through his own transformational journey that he discovered his true calling: guiding others toward healing, wholeness, and deeper intimacy with God. He shares this message in authentic and meaningful ways—through writing, blogging, podcasting, and teaching—helping others navigate their own spiritual journeys.
For decades, Steve has been a mentor and leader in small groups, retreats, seminars, and discipleship programs, with a heart for reaching those who feel unseen or marginalized. His passion lies in fostering personal growth and spiritual transformation, walking alongside others as they discover freedom in Christ.
Beyond ministry, Steve has an extensive background in business, with over 35 years of experience as a consultant, executive coach, and entrepreneur. He has owned or partnered in multiple ventures, drawing from his wealth of knowledge in leadership and strategy. He holds an MBA in Marketing from Drexel University and a BA in Business with a Minor in Economics from Grove City College.
Outside of his work, Steve finds joy in capturing the beauty of God’s creation through nature and wildlife photography, often sharing his images in his ministry posts. He also enjoys fitness training, reading, writing, and diving into thought-provoking podcasts.
Colleen is deeply passionate about living authentically and sharing Christ’s love in a broken world. As a visionary leader, teacher, and mentor, she is dedicated to guiding others toward healing, freedom, and a deeper relationship with God.
Before stepping into full-time ministry with Embracing Brokenness, Colleen spent nearly 12 years as Vice President of Programs at Water Street Mission in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where she helped shape transformational programs for those experiencing homelessness. Earlier in her career, she served as Executive Vice President of a national healthcare consulting firm and as an adjunct professor at Eastern University.
A licensed clinical social worker, Colleen brings both professional expertise and personal wisdom to her work. She holds an MBA from Eastern University, a Master’s in Social Work from Temple University, and a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Messiah College.
Outside of ministry, Colleen finds joy in nature—whether tending to her flower garden, exploring the outdoors, or simply marveling at God’s creation. She shares a special bond with her Golden Retriever, Beau, and whenever possible, she and Steve escape to the beach to rest and recharge.
Katie is passionate about sharing the hope of restoration in Jesus, especially through the lens of motherhood. A former project manager and program director at Water Street Mission, she stepped away from her role to embrace the journey of motherhood after the birth of her first daughter.
Since the inception of Embracing Brokenness Ministries, Katie has walked alongside Colleen and Steve—both professionally and personally—while navigating her own healing journey. Her experiences have deepened her heart for encouraging others, particularly women and mothers, as they seek wholeness and transformation in Christ.
A graduate of Elizabethtown College and a proud “girl mom,” Katie finds joy in the everyday moments of family life, sharing the beauty of God’s restoration through real and relatable experiences.
Michael, a proud Pennsylvania native, hails from Central PA and is a graduate of Penn State University. With over 20 years of experience in Information Technology, he currently serves as Technical Account Manager for an IT firm in Lancaster City.
Michael’s journey with Embracing Brokenness Ministries began after a divinely orchestrated meeting with Steve at a Men’s ministry event in 2013. Their friendship blossomed, and since 2020, Michael has become a trusted ally and contributor, sharing his powerful testimonies of restoration and discipleship through writing, speaking, and podcasting.
As a father to three beautiful, talented, and loving children, Michael is dedicated to leading his family with integrity and love. He enjoys hiking, engaging in sportsman’s activities, and spending quality time in the mountains, where he finds peace and renewal in God’s creation.
